{Workouts] Saturday Mileage (7.26.25)

Hello
& Happy Friday!

I hope your week has been a good one! Good luck to John and Katherine, running the
Chocolate Challenge… along with anyone who may be running races this weekend!
Enjoy every step!

We will be meeting at the playground entrance of the Parkway tomorrow at 8am for our longer training
runs, planning for the following distances:

Base
Building/Maintenance
: 3ish miles

Sackets
Harbor Half
: 10-11 miles

MCM: 15
miles

You can find links to maps along with turn-by-turn directions
below for a 3ish and 11 mile route. If you are
unable to open the links, please let me know and I will find an alternate way
to get them to you.

The 11 mile route piggybacks off the 3ish mile route. There
is also an easy return indicated in the route for anyone wanting 5 or 6 miles.
If you would like that mapped out, please let me know and I will get that for
you. Additional mileage can be added on by additional loops in the Village or
adding an out and back on the Parkway.

Things to Keep in Mind:

v  As
always, please be mindful of traffic while out in the Village- using the
sidewalks on busier roads and running against traffic when not on sidewalks.

v  Please
carry your phone with you in case an emergency arises.

v  I will
try to put a jug of water out on the course (somewhere near Bass and Balsam).
Just in case I don’t get out early enough, please plan to carry enough water and nutrition to sustain more than
your entire run.

v  Remember
to stay at an easy, conversational
pace
. These runs are meant to help train your aerobic system allowing
your body to run with a sufficient amount of oxygen for your muscles to produce
the energy needed to perform its best. This in turn builds your endurance
(allowing you to run for longer periods of time) more efficiently.

LOOKING AHEAD:

Tuesday (7/29): Meet at the Playground entrance of
OLP, ready to get started at 5:45pm.

Saturday Long Run (8/2): time/location TBD (I will
notify you by Tuesday) for the following mileage:

Sackets
Half:
12 miles

MCM: 17
miles

*I can provide a bailout option within
the route for those of you looking for less mileage.

Please make sure you are hydrating and feeding your
body the appropriate nutrition to sustain your activity and energy levels
during your run.

Have a great afternoon and I cannot wait to see you in the
morning!
