Saturday Miles (4.26.25)!

I am so sorry for emailing so late… It's been quite the
day. Good Luck to Dave at
Seneca 7 on Sunday!
I hope you have a blast, and that the weather
cooperates, this year! If you’re running a different race this weekend (perhaps
Step-up for Kids?), please let us know so we can send you luck, too!

 

We are meeting at the playground entrance of the Parkway tomorrow, ready to start our warmups by 8am! It should
be warm (real feel in the 50’s!), humid, and probably a little rainy… so dress
accordingly. Because you still sweat even when it rains, you should plan to carry water/hydration
with you during the run
– especially if you are running more than 3 miles.
We are planning for the following mileage this weekend:

 

3.5 miles: Mountain Goat Relay

6 miles: Mountain Goat full

8.5-9 miles: Shipyard Half

12 miles: Buffalo Half

Begin at playground, follow Parkway to Birch St.

(R) on Birch to 6th St.

(R) on 6th to (cross Rte. 57 & Tulip) to
Melvin Ave.

(L) on Melvin to 7th St.

(R) on 7th to Memphis St.

(R) on Memphis to Tamarack St.

(L) on Tamarack to 4th St.

(R) on 4th (cross Tulip & Rte. 57) to
Bass St.

(L) on Bass St. to 1st

(L) on 1st to Sycamore St.

(R) on Sycamore to Parkway

(L) on Parkway back to playground

Follow 3.5 mile route until Parkway

After Sycamore, turn RIGHT on Parkway to Birch St.

(R) on Birch up to Hickory St.

(L) down Hickory to 2nd St.

(L) on 2nd to Birch St.

(R) down Birch to Parkway

(R) on Parkway to bathroom loop (roughly 5-mile mark)

Loop around, follow Parkway back towards playground

Fork RIGHT on Restoration Way (near Salt Museum)

Follow Restoration Way behind Playground to starting
loop

 

FOR YOU 8.5 TO
9 MILERS:
you
can follow the 6-mile route, instead of looping around at the bathroom loop
(5ish mile mark), continue running out on the Parkway. Looping around at the
Willow Bay loop should give you 8.5 miles.

 

 

LOOKING AHEAD:

 

Meet at the playground entrance of OLP at 5:45pm. Those
of you running Mountain Goat will have a taper workout while everyone else will
have a speed workout.

 

Saturday Long
Run (5/3):
Meet
at the playground entrance of the Parkway at 8:00am for the following

15-20
minute walk or easy jog:
Mountain Goat Relay

30
minute walk or 20 minute easy jog:
Mountain Goat full

9-10 miles:
Shipyard* and Buffalo Half

*Shipyard, we may slightly adjust depending on how
tomorrow’s run goes

sustain the energy needed to perform your best.
