HOH Weekend LTRs (9.19.26)

Hello and welcome to another weekend (almost!)-

I hope you had a lovely week!

We will be meeting at Green Lakes State Park tomorrow morning at 7am for our long training run! Please plan to
meet in the beachside parking lot next to the main bathrooms.

This week’s route focuses on our
Marathoners as it will be one loop of 13 miles. While there are no shorter loops back to the parking lot this
week, if you are looking for 4ish miles, you can run an out and back on the Canal
(or around the lakes).

You can find a link to the route map HERE. When we
leave the park, we will go left on the Canal towards Manlius Center to make our
way to Saintsville! After Saintsville, we will run the Poolsbrook/Kinderhook
loop back to the Canal into the park.

Marathoners: this route has
been created to mimic some of the longer, quieter stretches of the racecourse where
there won’t be a lot of crowd support to carry you through. Not only will you
need to depend on your own mental grit to get you
through
some of the more desolate sections, but you will need to carry more than enough water and intra-run nutrition to
fuel your run
. You really should plan to pack
more than you think you need
to
get you through the run.

Although we finally have beautiful,
fall-like, cooler weather, keep in mind that you still
lose valuable electrolytes through sweat
, so please make sure you are
staying hydrated before, during, and after your run!

you who ordered shirts and have not picked them up, yet- I have them in my car.

These upcoming races are
part of the Syrathon Series Challenge:

Please make sure you are hydrating and
taking in the appropriate ratios of carbs to proteins to healthy fats today
that will help your body sustain its energy levels for tomorrow’s run.

Have a great day and I cannot wait to
see you tomorrow!

Run Safe. Run Smart. Run Strong.
