HOH Tuesday Workout (9.29.26)

Happy Monday, Team!

Here’s hoping you had a great
weekend! This week we will be moving our workout to the Inner Harbor where we
will run our marathoners’ taper workout before going to Meier’s Creek to
celebrate everyone’s hard work this year and wish Morgan, Shannon, Liz, and
Cindy good luck running the Wineglass Marathon on Sunday!

Please plan to meet HERE
in the back of the parking lot across from Meier’s Creek at 5:45pm– we will probably run on the
Creek Walk towards Hiawatha Blvd.

If you have an HOH shirt-
maybe think about wearing it
😊

You can find tomorrow’s taper
workout below and a screenshot attached of how I programmed it in Garmin
Connect.

HOH Tuesday Taper
Workout (9.29.26):

Warmup: at least 10 min Easy
Effort w/dynamic exercises

6 times:

4 min Moderate Effort

1 min Race Pace

Cooldown: at least 10 min Easy
Effort

Please note that instead of running
strides, we are essentially running for
30 minutes at a moderate effort with a hard, race pace push every fifth minute. As always, our workouts are based on effort, not numerical
pacing
. Your effort will be different from
your running buddy’s and can fluctuate from run to run, so stop comparing your
run not just to someone else’s, but also to your previous runs. Please do your
best to run your efforts appropriately, with
as little walking as possible.

LOOKING AHEAD:

Saturday (10/3): There
is NO GROUP RUN SCHEDULED. The
marathoners will be marathoning this weekend, and some of you will be running
the Inner Harbor 5k.

GOOD LUCK TO THOSE OF YOU RUNNING THE INNER HARBOR
5K ON SUNDAY!
Please, please, please take
photos!!

Tuesday (10/6): Meet in
the LMS parking lot at 5:45pm. Marathoners will be there for a
walk and to show off their bling- the rest of us will be running a short interval
workout!

You know the drill! Make sure you
are hydrating and taking in the appropriate ratios of carbs to proteins to
healthy fats today that will help your body sustain its energy levels for
tomorrow’s run.

Have a fabulous day and I’ll see
you all at Meier’s Creek in the Inner Harbor tomorrow
at 5:45pm!

Run Safe. Run Smart. Run Strong.

Coach Kristen
