HOH Saturday Run! (10.17.26)
Happy Friday, kids!
I hope your week has been
wonderful!
This week, we are taking a field
trip to the Upper Onondaga area to run the Strathmore
Parks 4-mile route… You can thank Patty (because she was really looking
forward to this course but was unable to make it to the actual race) and Vicky
(for suggesting we run this route this weekend)!
We will meet near 640 Roberts Ave at 8am…
just look for the tennis & pickle ball courts, city pool, and Hiawatha Lake!
While there’s probably a parking lot nearby, there should also be plenty of street parking available right on
Roberts Ave.
You can find the route map linked here: https://connect.garmin.com/app/course/524135508 (via Garmin Connect), which can be downloaded to your watch
(provided it’s compatible) for turn-by-turn navigation.
The last time I checked, the real
feel temperature at our start time was projected to be in the low to mid 30’s, so plan accordingly; dressing in
layers and possibly wearing gloves and even a hat or ear warmers. Despite the
chilliness, you should still plan to carry hydration and intra-run fuel because
your body will warm up, you will sweat, and you will burn through your muscular
energy stores across the hilly, 4-mile course.

speedwork HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GEORGE!!!

I’d
like to invite you to join Matt and me for a 60-minute Vinyasa yoga class at 9:45am at the Lyndon Corners Fit Body Boot Camp Studio.
The instructor is a good friend of ours (who is also a runner!)
The
class costs $15 a person and is designed to build strength,
flexibility, balance, and mindfulness (all the things we need to keep our
running bodies happy and healthy!!). Jenn structures her classes for all levels
and offers both modifications and challenges, based on your current level. Grab
your yoga mat and join us for a stretch!
Please make sure you are hydrating
and feeding your body the appropriate ratios of carbs to proteins to healthy
fats today that will help your body sustain its energy levels for tomorrow’s
run.
Have a great afternoon and cannot
wait to see you tomorrow!
Run Safe. Run Smart. Run Strong.
