HOH Saturday LTRs (8.29.26)

Happy Friday!

We are so close to the weekend, and what
better way to start your weekend than with a little run?! We are meeting in the
LMS parking lot at 8am tomorrow for our long training runs. When
I last looked, the real feel temperature appeared to be in the mid-60s at the
start of our run but will climb up to the mid-70’s throughout the morning, so hydrate throughout the day today. Also, please show
up with hydration to carry and more than enough nutrition to sustain your entire
run. If you are running more than 3-4 miles,
you should be fueling during your run!!
If you aren’t sure what
that looks like or what you should take for intra-run nutrition, let me know. I’m
happy to talk about it with you 😊

I have created routes to cover the
following distances:

3 miles: low-end
base/maintenance build

6+ miles: Sackets Harbor
Half/high-end base/maintenance build

16 miles: Wineglass
Marathon

If you are looking for
alternate mileage, please let me know so I can look for ways to accommodate
that within the 16-mile route.

You can find links to the following routes
below along with turn-by-turn directions in the attached document.

Routes (LMS) 8.29.26:

This week, the 6-mile route piggybacks
off the 3-mile route, allowing those running shorter distances the opportunity
to finish their runs before those with more mileage continue on. While the
16-mile route does not specifically return back, there are points that easily
allow you to return, if needed (again, let me know if you need to accommodate alternate
mileage).

LOOKING AHEAD:

Tuesday (9/1):
Meet at LMS at 5:45 for speedwork

Saturday (9/5):
Due to Sackets Harbor Half Marathon on Sunday,
there is no group run scheduled

Please have a great afternoon and I
cannot wait to see you all tomorrow in the LMS
parking lot
at 8am, hydrated and ready for our long runs!

Run Safe. Run Smart. Run Strong.
