Meet Our Athletes 

Let’s take a moment to meet another one of our spitfire athletes, Courtney Krause! 

For someone who is quick to tell you that running is stupid, Courtney sure has put in a lot of miles over the last few years. Her resume includes running her first full marathon (which she traveled to Canada to run!) after running her first half marathon just 7 months earlier. 

Anyone who knows Courtney knows she’s not afraid to put in the work to get to where she wants to be. When runs get tough, she cranks up some upbeat tunes from her girl, Taylor (Swift) and tells herself that she just has another mile to get one more mile closer to the end of her run.

After taking some time off to recover from two major surgeries in January & May 2024, Courtney plans on celebrating her comeback this summer by running the Shipyard Half Marathon in Maine. 

With Maine being a dream destination of hers to run, this will be the perfect way to welcome herself back into running… also, she’s a sucker for a good lobster roll, so it’s a win/win!
