Happy
Friday HOH!!
I hope your week has been fantastic and to those of you
traveling this weekend have safe, fun trips! Remember your favorite coach (that’s me, for the
purpose of this email, I am your favorite coach!) collects magnets 😊 Also,
GOOD LUCK to Vicky who will be running the Riot Run 5k this weekend!!
Since it appears we’ll have a small group again this
week, and most of you are collecting maintenance miles, let’s meet in the parking lot behind
the Salt Museum again tomorrow at 8am. This is purely selfish because I have a handful of
out and back hours tomorrow, and it’s easier to get to my car there than at the
playground (thank you for appeasing me). We can plan for the following mileage
this weekend:
Low-end Base
Building/Maintenance: 3 miles
High-end Base Building/Maintenance: 5-6 miles
MCM: 16 miles
Again, this week I am not creating route maps-
we can plan for an out and back along the Parkway or for those of you feeling a
little more adventurous, you can wander into the village. If you’d like a route
map, let me know and I’ll whip one together this evening for you.
Please remember to keep your easy runs at a light and
airy conversational effort. Despite the fall-like temperatures, you should
continue being mindful of your hydration and nutrition today and during your
runs… just because it feels cooler does not mean your body isn’t in need
of hydration or nutrition.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Tuesday (9/23): NoBo will be
meeting at the playground beginning this week so we will meet in front of the Visitor’s Center (basically
on the other side of the building than the playground) at OLP ready to
get started at 5:45pm.
Saturday (9/27): NO OFFICAL GROUP RUN
as I will be
running the Parallel of Latitude 8-Hour Endurance Race in Dryden. For anyone
interested in checking out what fresh hell I’ve signed up for or are interested
in hanging out and cheering me on while I run laps, you can use the following
link for more info: https://fingerlakesrunners.org/race/parallel-of-latitude-2025/
Those of you running can plan
for the following mileage:
Low-end Base
Building/Maintenance: 3 miles
High-end Base
Building/Maintenance: 5-6 miles
MCM: 22 miles
Have a great afternoon, hydrate, and feed your body
the appropriate amounts of nutrients it needs to run and exercise in a
safe and healthy manner.
See you tomorrow morning!
Coach Kristen
