I hope you had a great week. Good luck to those of you
running Rachael’s Warrior Run in Oswego, tomorrow!
Just a quick reminder that we are NOT officially
meeting as a group tomorrow. Even though we are not meeting as a group,
you should still get your training runs in this weekend, planning for the
following mileage:
Low-end Base Building/Maintenance: 3 miles
High-end Base Building/Maintenance: 5-6 miles
Sackets Harbor Half: 8 miles
MCM: 18
miles
Remember these runs are not a race, so keep them at an easy, conversational
pace. You (and your ego) may not think so- but it truly does strengthen
your cardiovascular system and increase your endurance. Plus, no one cares
about your pace- the point is to make you the strongest runner you can be, in a
safe, healthy manor 😎 Also,
be sure to carry and take in enough water/hydration and nutrition during your run to sustain
your energy output.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Tuesday (8/26): Meet at the playground
entrance of OLP, ready to get started at 5:45pm
Saturday (8/30): Meet at OLP, ready
to get started at 8am, planning for the following mileage:
Low-end Base Building/Maintenance: 3 miles
High-end Base Building/Maintenance: 5-6 miles
Sackets Harbor Half: 6 miles
