HOH LTR (3.14.26)

Happy Friday. Runners!

 

I hope you all had a nice week and had
the chance to enjoy the short-lived spring weather!

 

We will meet in the LMS Complex parking lot (off Hickory St. in
Liverpool) tomorrow at 8:30am for our long
training runs. I hope y’all didn’t pack away your winter gear yet because it
looks like the real feel temps will be in the low teens with some wind. You
know the drill: layers, hat/headbands, mittens, and maybe a buff to protect
your neck and face from the wind. We live in Syracuse; we can handle it 😊

 

With those of us running Syracuse Half
next week on a taper, it looks like everyone is near the same mileage this week,
so I have planned a 3 and 6 mile route. As
usual, the routes piggyback off one another, looping back to the parking lot
after 3 miles. Those of us continuing on for 6 miles will be able to briefly
drop or add layers and refuel before heading back out.

The first linking to Map My Run (where I create the routes) and the second to
Garmin Connect. In the event your Garmin watch is capable, you should be able
to use the second link to download the route to your watch for navigation. If

When I created these routes, there was
no snow in the forecast in the morning- hopefully any snow we receive will not
impede us while running on short sections of sidewalk. Please remember when running on slick surfaces, you’ll want to slow your pace and keep
your feet underneath you
by taking short,
quick steps
while shortening your stride.

 

LOOKING AHEAD:

Tuesday (3/17): Meet
at LMS Complex (entrance off Hickory St.) at
5:45pm for our workout.

Saturday (3/21): Meet at LMS Complex (entrance
off Hickory St.) at 8:30am for our long
training run. Those of us running Syracuse Half can enjoy an easy, short
shakeout run.
