Here’s hoping you had a fantastic
weekend!
Since Vicky is running a taper workout
ahead of Saturday’s Earth Day Half on Saturday, we are doing her taper workout
with her tomorrow. Plan to meet in the LMS Complex parking lot (off Hickory St. in
Liverpool) at 5:45pm.
The real feel temperature appears to be in the mid to high 60’s and while there
is rain in tomorrow’s forecast, it looks like it will have passed by the start
of our workout.
You can find tomorrow’s newly
formatted taper workout below along with a screenshot of how I programmed the
workout in Garmin Connect.
Tuesday Taper
Workout (4.14.26):
Warmup: at least 10 min Easy Effort
w/dynamic exercises
6 times:
4 min Moderate Effort
1 min Race Pace
Cooldown: at least 10 min Easy Effort
Please note that instead of running
strides, we are essentially running for 30 minutes at a moderate effort with a
hard, race pace push every fifth minute. Please do your best to run your
efforts appropriately, with as little walking as possible…. Especially if you
are not specifically tapering for Saturday’s race

While Vicky runs
the Earth Day Half, a bunch of us will be running the Earth Day 5k and then
hanging out to support and cheer her in!
